PROJECTS
Friends Were Found
The hallway I drew was sophomore hallway. Sophomore’s are said to be the worst or the least liked in high school. The thought is is that we we're too cool for school or something. A lot of people say it's their least favorite year. But this is the year I found some of my bestest friends and got to know them in this hallway. In this piece I think I did a good job a with the lines keeping them all pretty equal, it can be hard with 2 sides of the hall. With the spacing of the hall it feels like it draws you or it gives emphasis into that light area. Overall I think it is a well balanced and realistic drawing .

It's Still Life
This is the still life that i did in my drawing class. I chose this position because i was the last one to pick but I learned to like it enough. I bolded the items that I really liked such as the phone. I tried my best to keep things in proportion with each other. The spacing is not to crammed. One thing I would have changed is to shade things further. But the all around tone and enthuses on sustain items are there.

We're Home
This is a picture of me and my sister when I was about three. We got home from who knows where and this great action photo was taken. I know it doesn't have much of a reflection at any point but my teacher said I could draw it. Within this drawing there is a movement occurring with us running. I really euthanized the bend of the knee and movement in the shirts. I think the picture shows a good depiction of space I included all three grounds. I Tried really hard for good value from the very darks to the whites. It is an over all well balanced piece with many different and exiting things to look at.

Ever-things Archie
I had a hard time finding a image to draw/ink for this assignment. So I decided to do a picture of someone from one of my favorite shows Riverdale. Americas favorite "teenager" Archie. He was quite a pice of work I spent many hours on his jacket alone and all the other contributing factor made it all the more difficult. So i started with the jacket and then i moved on to the face. I stippled most of it. I think stippling gives the the face shape and texture to it. I used a variety of mark making to show variety and give enthuses to different things. Finally I did a wash for the background to draw it all together and make him stand out a bit.

How's it Screw-in
For this project we used the medium of colored pencils. The first thing we did was take pictures of foreshortened body parts or props that we chose to take in. So for my prop that I chose was a drill because I was presently working on the fall production Rumors and I thought it would be a good idea. I got to work and noticed the background in the picture was boring so decided to put all the plays and musicals that I have worked on in the background. It draws the viewer in and gives them a verity of things to look at. For color I used a lot I put the colors of the shows background as by background making it stand out. It was quite hard getting the right shape out of the drill but over all I think it has the best texture and proportions in the image. I tried really hard with the form and shading of the shirt that it looked realistic overall I think it turned out all right

Éire
The Picture I used for this project is in Ireland (Éire). I'm not quite sure where in Ireland but it is of and open rolling hills with some sort if stone marking form the past. The Wind Blew and it looks as of it had just rained as my older sister Brigid approaches theses rock formations. Some time off and fresh air does the body good. In painting and color this piece I Used many earth tones. For composition proposes I think it is pretty well balanced Nothing sharply sticks out to you. The spacing is pretty good for the picture. You got a foreground mid-ground and background. I got into a sort of rhythm when painting using similar hash marks.

Hobbies
For the still life I the Objects I chose were a drill, a Neckerchief, and a marching band hat. I chose these three because they represent the some of the different things I do day in and day out. The Drill circulates with Drama Club. The Neckerchief for Boy Scouts and the hat is self explanatory. For the Painting I took a different approach. Texture is very prominent, I layered and blocked a lot throughout the painting. I got into a sort of rhythm with the blotting throughout and nothing seem to stand too far out giving it a real unity. I did my darnedest to give the objects value with the shading of the drill and the reflectiveness of the hat.

Moving Right Along
The Music I used for this piece was the song '40' and 'Where the Streets Have No Name' form U2 War and Joshua Tree. I don't know why but i'm kinda on a U2 kick. I love the deeper meaning to the song of the "Where the streets Have No Name" and "40" is beautiful and easy to sing along to. I used Scotch masking tape and and acrylic paint for the triangles giving them that straight line. I broke it up with white acrylic to make it flowerer and pop more. In the end I did a black and yellow wash with the green going down the Middle.
